Bahrain Art Week Paris 2018

Parisian art connoisseurs and experts were treated to a stunning debut of contemporary Bahraini art which showcased the rich creativity of the artists. This was the first ‘Artists Across Borders’ exhibition in Paris and marked a triumphant debut for Bahraini art.

Works of 17 leading and emerging artists were showcased at the Grand Palais and the GallerieRabouanMoussion on Rue Pastourelle in the Le Marias art hub in Paris from 13th September to 22nd September 2018. The exhibition was built around the theme ‘The Legacy and the Contemporary Memory’ and was curated by ArtBAB Fairs &Programme Director, Kaneka Subberwal and Paris-based curator, art advisor and organizer, Corinne Timsit.

The 17 artists range from veterans of the Bahraini art scene to early career artists

The artists specialize in many areas of the visual arts, from painting to sculpture and art installations and their Paris portfolio was carefully selected to reflect the strength, originality, and tradition of the Bahraini identity.
