BAAB India – “The Unsaid”

BAAB India, (October 9-11, 2017), New Delhi

In 2016, alongside ArtBAB, we added another vertical, which was our International Artists Programme – launched at the V&A, London. Through this, we take the Bahraini artists across borders to share their works and experiences and synergise with the global arts community.

While the International Artists Programme for 2016 was centred on London, the 2017 programme explored the vast and many-layered Indian art market.

The first-ever ArtBAB  International Artists Programme in India was held under the patronage of H.R.H. Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of Bahrain and President of Bahrain’s Supreme Council for Women.  It was held in the stately and gracious former palace, Bikaner House in the Indian capital and inaugurated by Chief Guest, Mahesh Sharma, India’s Minister for Culture. The show was curated by the famous artist Dr. Alka Raghuvanshi and in collaboration with the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation of Mumbai.
